M.CO is announcing three changes to its management team in response to growing demands for its multi-disciplinary services.
Ruth Doyle
Ruth Doyle has been promoted to a director of M.CO, following four years with the company. Ruth has a PhD in Human Geography, with a focus on sustainable consumption, and she specialises in social research, sustainable lifestyles and collaborative governance techniques. Building on her 12 years of experience in academia and consulting, she leads multi-disciplinary teams in M.CO to design engagement and research processes that improve understanding of multi-actor and user perspectives. Ruth brings a systemic lens to challenges across health, sustainability, and cultural sectors to identify outputs that are actionable and based on a solid understanding of client needs.
Eva Sunderland
Eva Sunderland has also been promoted to associate director. Eva has led M.CO’s strategic communications team for the past four years, and seen the demand for our visual communications work grow during that period. Increasingly clients want their development projects turned into powerful communications to engage internal and external stakeholders. Eva’s wide-ranging experience prior to M.CO, including roles in branding, advertising and graphic design, coupled with her experience of both the public and private sectors, mean that she and the team have the knowledge and understanding to develop comprehensive, strategic responses to communications and design challenges in complex environments, including print, digital and video solutions.
Simon O’Rafferty
Simon O’Rafferty has joined the M.CO team as associate director. Simon is a strategic service designer and design researcher, with a PhD in Sustainable Design Policy, and a focus on sustainability, strategic design, policy and social innovation, and behavioural change. He has previously held leadership roles within and acted as a consultant to a wide range of organisations from local government to the European Commission, and from community groups to multinational companies. Most recently, Simon was a Research Fellow with the Environmental Protection Agency, leading projects related to the design of public services, regulations and other policy interventions for individual and business behavioural change across a range of environmental initiatives. Simon will further strengthen M.CO’s expertise and capability in strategic design and sustainability.
Managing director, Della O’Donoghue said:
“I am delighted to announce these three new additions to our management team to meet the growing demands from existing and new clients. Our business is going from strength to strength, thanks to the loyalty of many of our established clients and their recommendations to new ones. It’s great to see our existing team growing and developing in response to these opportunities, and it is always good to bring in new experience to further enhance the talent pool of the M.CO team.”
“I would like to wish Ruth, Eva and Simon great success in their new roles. I would also like to take the opportunity to wish both Ruth and Eva well as they both head off on the very important business of maternity leave – we look forward to seeing them back in their new roles in due course.”
