M-CO worked with leaders in the design sector to identify a unique approach for promoting and developing Ireland’s design capacity. We delved into the current policy aspirations for design, reviewed international best practice and consulted with those leading in the sector to identify the best way forward. Using design thinking we created four different prototypes for how a design centre could be set up and operate, and identified which would work best. We used visual business modelling to outline the funding, partners and resources that would make the vision a reality and what funding model would be most effective.
