M‑CO were initially engaged by the Irish League of Credit Unions to develop a programme of engagement with their credit union stakeholders throughout the island of Ireland. We designed, set up and facilitated a series of regional workshops with credit union CEOs and managers to re-engage the League with their key stakeholders, and to gain their insights and input into the future role and focus of the League.
Following the success of this programme and positive feedback from stakeholders, ILCU asked M‑CO to work with them to develop a five-year strategy. M-CO designed a collaborative approach to build on the stakeholder engagement programme, through a strategy development process which included a steering group made up of board members, executives and stakeholders, and involved extensive staff consultation. The final plan was presented to and approved by the ILCU board.
M‑CO were then retained to support the development of an implementation plan, involving the creation of working groups and detailed actions, timelines, budgets and measurement. This was further enhanced by the creation of a reporting framework, giving clear responsibilities to the executive for delivery, and a regular line of sight to the board on progress against the strategy.
The whole process was supported by a series of videos, filmed and produced by M‑CO, to maintain stakeholder engagement throughout.
